#awiggleaday for the month of May

May is mental health awareness month, and Moved LA fully advocates for the education, open dialogue, and eradication of stigma surrounding mental illness. Moved LA was born out of the idea of moving based on how it feels rather than how it looks, and I’ve always considered this a practice for our mental health with the physical health benefits being a happy side effect.

So, in honor of mental health awareness month, I’ll be doing #awiggleaday for the month of May, by posting vids of my wiggles on social media. It will definitely be a challenge for me to post every day, but some wiggles might be small, some might be big, some might be when I’m tired, and I might even have some friends and fam jump in with me. Just like a Moved LA workshop, there’s no wrong way to do this.

Feel free to join me in this little challenge to move for our mental health, and use the hashtag #awiggleaday to share how your moving for your mental health. If you have a deck of make Moves, that gives you some great inspiration. You can even just post a video or two and still use the tag…however you want to get involved is totally legit! You can also just follow along and show your support by liking and sharing any #awiggleaday videos you come across!

We’ll build a vibey group playlist and then make moves that feel good…for our bodies and our minds.
