Mover Monday: Sarah Ford
Happy Monday! We’re so jazzed to be featuring such a sweet, talented, and creative lady, Sarah Ford. She is a multifaceted artist, visual thinker, and animal lover that really inspires us to find presence and beauty in each moment. She’s a real gem.
Moved LA: How would you describe yourself?
Sarah: I am a passionate, creative individual with a love for nature, animals and humans
Moved LA: What’s your story?
Sarah: At the heart, I am a visual thinker. I have always been this way. I love looking at a single image and spending time with it. It can be poster, painting, photo, or a meditation. I find it easier to communicate how I might be feeling with an image or to tell a story.
Moved LA: Who is your role model and why?
Sarah: There are really so many. I like to look to other photographers like Emily Shur, William Eggleston, Irving Penn, Frank Ockenfels and Rineke Dijkstra. I enjoy how they are able to capture moments and feelings at once. I have some very important Dharma teachers like George Haas, who has helped me work on meditation and attachment theory. Without these teachings I don't believe I would have pursued many of my life dreams.
Moved LA: If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?
Sarah: Probably Rainbow Bright
Moved LA: If you could give everyone one piece of advice about living with more intention, what would it be?
Sarah: Slow down.
Moved LA: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Sarah: I think it'd be fun to time travel. I'd like to see the same place in different points of time and how it lives. I think that the fragments of time are rich with moments and can connect us at a deeper level than moving constantly.
Moved LA: Who or what sources do you follow to stay informed and inspired?
Sarah: I love the podcast age we are now in... I can listen endlessly. I love "The One You Feed" and "On Being". I really find myself a few of these websites often for design resource: niice and behance
